Happy Easter Blessings everyone. This is a glorious day today. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life” (John 3:16).
We can now feel relief and comfort in our lives. There is no immensity of shame, faults, failures, or thoughts of uncomfortable experiences that we that cause us to tremble or run and hide, because we know God’s love for us never changes. Life is challenging, especially during times of hardship.
It is difficult to become discouraged in life when we realize how much God loves us. God’s love is overwhelming. God’s love is unconditional. God’s love is pure. Recall the passage, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). These struggles we have to endure. We want to give in to the worries and stress that creep into our lives but somehow we don’t. We pause in this precious moment, today on Easter. Everything that is negative and dark no longer has power over us.
With Jesus we are children of light. We cannot fail. We cannot be swept away with misery, stress, and darkness. We endure all that happens to us because of the hope and love that God gives us. We are alive because of Him. Accepting the light in us through the resurrection brings us into His fullness. A special hope of goodness, purity, light, and life. We have come out of darkness through Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. Through God’s unconditional love.
Sure, it’s easy to lose our way – we’ve had a lifetime of learning. Our childhood and adulthood experiences, our work life, family life, etc. Years upon years of successes, failures, illnesses, hurts, trauma, mistrust, pain, the list goes on. It’s all wrapped up and woven into the fabric of our character, so much that we are blinded by it; misguided by it; lost by it. We journeyed through lent to open our hearts to find the path to heal, to find life. Jesus is the way, the light, and the life. Trust in God to help you find that light and life.
