HARVEST IN THE HOMELESS

HARVEST IN THE HOMELESS

Little Judy heard a story,

just the other day,

of a little boy, that was born,

with no place to stay!

She could identify with him,

for that's her story, too.

She is just a homeless child,

and she is oh so blue!

There's a harvest in the homeless,

and everywhere they're found.

They wander here, they wonder there,

they go from town to town!

Like a flower that's uprooted,

there's no place they call their home,

many have nobody else,

they're wandering alone!

There are also many homeless

in God's family here, below.

They wander here they wander there,

yet claim no home church to show!

Tell me, would you be willing,

to share the love of Christ

with people such as these,

who have no hope in life!

Their pride has gone, they've fallen,

they feel they don't have rights.

With fear and cold we see them,

shudder through long nights!

If we could take a moment,

and share with one God's love.

We could see lives being touched,

by the Father, up above!

They don't have the hang ups,

that goes with rich man's pride,

they've learned whatever state they're in,

to be satisfied!

It's not hard to receive from God,

when you cannot lose,

when there's no other choice,

it's not so hard to choose!

God said, "MY PEOPLE PERISH,

BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW!

IT'S UP TO EACH OF US,

SOMEHOW THE WAY TO SHOW!

SO PICK A FIELD AND JUMP RIGHT IN,

AND PLUCK THEM FROM THE MIRE.

HARVEST THEM NOW FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE,

SO THEY CAN MISS HELL'S FIRE!

COME IN, LET'S JUST DO IT,

PUT YOUR BACK INTO THE WORK.

SEEK THEM OUT, SHINE THE SON LIGHT,

INTO THE DARKNESS WHERE THEY LURK!
