Daddy Knows

Daddy knows

When I've been hurt,

He knows the pain I feel,

He knows how to soothe it,

And how to make it heal!

Daddy knows . . .

When I am doing,

The very best I can,

And when I have done all,

He will help me stand!

Daddy knows . . .

The sound of my voice,

He hears me when I call,

He allows me, my own choice,

Be it stand or be it fall!

Daddy never . . .

forces me,

To do things just His way,

He allows that I should grow,

Through my choices every day!

But . . .

When I've made the wrong choice,

Daddy stands nearby,

He knows what my heart says,

Way down deep, inside!

Daddy knows . . .

The length of time,

For me to come around,

He never leaves, He just keeps nudging,

Me toward solid ground!

And . . .

When I've learned to stand alone,

And stay where I should be,

The pride upon my Daddy's face

Just so much blesses me!

Says He . . .

CHILD, YOU HAVE DONE WELL,

I'VE BEEN WATCHING WHILE YOU GREW

YOU HAVE MATURED, AND NOW YOU SERVE . . .

JUST LIKE DADDY KNEW!
