Requires only faith
In the name of Jesus
By which we are saved.
Do not let unbelief whittle away
Your confidence in Him
Through Whom you were made.
Give no heed to the deceiver.
Consider the author and finisher of faith
Who, when tempted with the phrase
“If You’re the Son of God-”
Did not question whether
He was the Son of God
But rather quoted God’s Word
With such clear authority
That the devil had no choice but to flee
And, though Satan waited
for other opportunities,
Jesus defeated him at Calvary.
Therefore in Christ we can overcome
Every ungodly temptation
We can bring glory to Christ every day,
Fully pleasing Him through whom
